Management

In order to provide maximum quality services, Seagull watch has established a strong management structure.

Our management has over 35 years combined security experience in all the disciplines of the industry. We have consulted for, and provided aid to many major security companies, helping them achieve their security objectives.

Operational Procedures

Our operational procedures are firmly set in place, and ensure our range of services bring only the most positive of outcomes when it comes to the continued protection of our clients’ valuable property.

Our operational procedures include the following service features:

  • All site visits are signed for in the occurrence book (OB) indicating the date and time. This book is kept on-site and is available for inspection by clients
  • Before posted on site, all officers are inspected for appearance and cleanliness
  • Seagull watch management conducts site visits regularly in order to keep up the highest standards possible
  • Each officer is issued with a pocket book, in which all records are logged and all incidents are tracked

 

Staff

Seagull watch employs security officers that are registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority of South Africa (PSIRA). These security officers are PSIRA trained and authorised to work in the security industry.
Seagull watch officers receive special training in:

  • Public relations
  • Self-defense
  • Fire prevention, detection and protection
  • Communications
  • Legal aspects
  • Access control / end control
  • Search procedures and techniques
  • Observation
  • Crowd control

Seagull watch officers have only the relevant qualifications and no criminal records.

They also attend refresher courses during employment and receive in-service training.

Before starting at a new site, the relevant officer will be assessed and, if necessary, trained to fit the required site criteria.

This is to ensure all sites receive the highest quality of service available.

Recruitment and Induction

Seagull watch employs security officers that are registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority of South Africa (PSIRA).

When sourcing staff, we employ a rigorous vetting procedure that ensures we find only the most dependable officers who are guaranteed to honour and uphold our core company values and outstanding customer service tradition.

Our recruitment and induction procedure includes the following:

Our Major Service Objectives

On-site Operations

Our on-site services are designed for maximum security, with constant monitoring by a central control point, operating in conjunction with the on-the-ground presence of our highly trained, professional security guards.

We provide the following on-site services:

  • All our guard sites have a clocking system monitored by our control room and management cell phones
  • All security officers undergo training with Seagullwatch., as well as the prescribed grading with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority of South Africa (PSIRA)
  • Our managing members oversee the day to day running of operations
  • All guard huts in streets are fitted with a solar panel for the panic systems and two-way radios. A portable toilet facility is also included in the service fee
  • All security officers have a panic button linked to our control room, as well as to the armed response company in the area for additional back-up
